At any given moment
An attempt to physically simulate, in one space, the act of 450,000 people having sex. The estimated number of people engaged in sex on Earth at any given moment.
We enter the world without a manual. Driven by need, desire, instinct, we consume, expand, displace, and reproduce. We build, we couple, we populate. Over time, we’ve uncovered coded instructions woven into the fabric of our biology. We can read the letters, but the meaning remains elusive.
Desire propels us, shaped by a language written deep within our cells. But what is its purpose? Are we moving toward something, some hidden goal, or are we simply a system set in motion, destined to burn out through endless repetition?
This work holds that question in tension. It seeks not to answer, but to give form to the scale, chaos, and mystery of our most intimate, universal act.
